This coin measures 1/2 inch and is a reproduction of a copper coin I personally picked out in Jerusalem (certificate of authenticity pictured). After looking at many others and at several different shops, I chose this one for its definition and thickness. It was the best I found.
The original coin is a rough hand struck copper coin mass produced in Judea 2000 years ago (pictured), somewhat equivalent to our penny and is not a rare item, you can find many on the market. The reason I chose to reproduce this coin in particular, is because of what it represents to me and all who know, remember and love the Biblical story in (Mark 12:41-44)
